the rant

I did not pre-wash the gingham. I know. I know. Everyone tells you to pre-wash and I thought "it's cotton, it'll be fine," and then the bodice shrank just enough after its first wash that the zipper now requires a small negotiation every time I wear it. The skirt is perfect. The bodice and I have an understanding.

Also: I sewed one of the bodice darts pointing the wrong way and didn't notice until the lining was already attached. Unpicked it at 11pm while questioning every choice that led me to that moment. Redid it. It's fine now. It's fine.
